Uluru Sketches

I Mutitjulu, Sacred Waterhole
II The Wind in the Spinifex
III The Rock at Sunset

"Uluru" also known as "Ayer's Rock", is a massive sandstone rock formation, 9.4 kilometers in girth, which rises 348 meters from the spinifex plains in Central Australia. It is sacred to the Anangu, the Aboriginal people of the area, and to many its ancient power is overwhelming. It has a majestic 'presence' and changes color at different times of the day and year. Sacred waterholes, caves and rock paintings are found at its base. Uluru is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
