Montana Muse

Composer Notes... Montana Muse was written for the memory of John Ellis who was the carillonneur/harpsichordist for the University of Montana, at Missoula. The theme comes from a guitar work of Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829). What I tried to depict is the diversity of musical interests that John had. In the slower section is the musical equivalent of riding a horse a favorite activity that John shared with his friends.
