Fountain Reverie

Arranger:

Percy Eastman Fletcher (1879-1932) was an English composer and conductor known primarily for his lyric writing and his involvement in the London theatre scene. His varied oeuvre reflects his musical training on piano, organ, and violin. “Fountain Reverie” was first published as a work for solo organ in 1915. In this arrangement for carillon, Fountain Reverie provides a rippling accompaniment in the hands against a very lyrical melody in the feet.

Scott R. Hummel is a composer and musician from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. From an early age, Scott developed a passionate interest in the musical arts. He has performance experience in keyboard instruments, choral music, and percussion. His introduction to the carillon came through listening to the 62-bell instrument housed in the Chimes Tower at Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. In addition to carillon, Scott has written for various other mediums, including choir, pipe organ, and percussion. His involvement in the music industry extends beyond composition and performance through advanced study in audio engineering and experience in lighting design. Scott continues to compose and arrange new works for carillon.
